Gum Blossom Yarns

Saffron is harvested from Crocus sativa plants and has been used for over 3,500 years. Alexander the Great and Cleopatra used saffron in their baths, infusions, rice, and as a curative for battle wounds and depressive disorders. Buddhist monks previously wore saffron-dyed robes.
Saffron is used in dishes ranging from the jewelled rice and khoresh of Iran, the Milanese risotto of Italy, the paella of Spain and the bouillabaisse of France and the biryani dishes of South Asia.

With 80% wool and 20% nylon, this yarn is strong with a good twist. This yarn is perfect for all projects including garments, shawls and accessories.  Yarns are in-stock and ready to ship!
