Millpost Merino
Millpost Merino is a Superfine Merino yarn grown single source at a family run farm at Bungendore on the Southern Tablelands of NSW near Canberra (since 1922). The farm owners David and Judith, were early adopters of Permaculture principles and methods.
This Superfine 100% Merino is as soft as a cloud and knits up beautifully. It feels as thick as a 5ply sport weight yarn. Being one hundred percent merino, the colours are not equivalent to our other yarn base, Platypus Sock. These dyepot colours are softer, warmer and more luscious: just right for winter.
Each skein is 100grams, 400 yards or 332 metres, and best knit with a 4-5mm needle. The recommended knitting gauge should be 28 stitches in 4" or 10cm.
